The week is the unit of selection. Pick check-in, then checkout. Hovering previews the range live and the night count and total resolve as you move.
Blocked dates are struck, not hidden. Seeing what is genuinely unavailable is the point. Checkout-only days are dimmed rather than struck — you can leave that morning, but the night is not open.
Price resolves in the footer as the selection completes, and reverts to a preview figure while you hover.
Keyboard: arrows move a day, up/down a week, Home and End jump to the ends of the row, Enter picks check-in then checkout, Escape clears. Unavailable dates keep focus and announce why rather than being skipped silently.
Guests is a capacity check. The cap follows the dates you picked. Push past it and it explains the constraint instead of silently refusing.
Minimum stay is enforced here. Too short a range is refused with the rule stated — it is a house rule at the property, not something the site invented. No selection can be made that would fail at checkout.
